I am an optimist, really, but it’s still all the same. If anything, it’s even more amiss. After colleges started to mandate covid booster shots for our kids (which, by the way, are still in place even when the mandates for our military has been rescinded), this was my “eyes wide open” moment of 2022:

Appreciate all of your posts, Lee. Used to be an optimist too... "Thanks" to the last three years, I'm now a realist. The evil powers that be are still strong and in control, and too few zombies can be swayed enough to accept what happened, what's happening, and what awaits. Agree, our efforts need to be focused on (like-minded) family, community, and home states in the new year. It needs to get tribal for survival.
Thank you. Excellent wording. You’ve captured many of my feelings, sad as they may be for now! Love your memorial idea. I live near the 9/11 memorial in Bucks County, PA and people leave flowers, etc with their “people” and nobody touches them. Or the coins tossed near the recovered piece of steel.
ive not given a crap about new years since i was quite young and realised its just an arbitrary point in space as we circle a star, but lets hope this orbit is better
I have drawn strength from your kindness. Once I posted on of my youtube and you asked me what can I do to help? Something you wrote made me think about God having a plan for us and it was the first time I felt 'peace' in a long time. Because I contrasted God's plan with the plans of these corrupt horrid evil men; and I liked our chances. We send out our words, and they reach hearts. I realize they want our despair. feel everything you mentioned.
thinking God is allowing this for us to learn the definition of evil.
also thinking He doesn’t want us to be passive, ignorant or numb ourselves to evil, further enabling it.
believe that prayers, love, thoughts are very powerful tools against evil… which is why evil seeks to divide & censor.
pray, learn and expose the evil.

Thank you for your words which are a reflection of thoughts I could not organize and articulate. My family and I walk into 2023 with a sense of dread.
