I’ll be blunt. I wasn’t planning to publish on substack. I suppose it was more of a calling. My purpose is very focused - raise awareness that we, as taxpayers, have allowed much of what has occurred the past two years by a series of laws that were passed, likely for decades. These bulky, vague (yet very specific at the same time) laws have been maneuvered very cleverly to get enacted into law - and in particular, when there are crises, sneak in through the backdoor, while no one is watching because we have been distracted. I feel it is quite possible some Congress members voted Yea to enable the passing of certain laws, but with much regret. It is those persons we need to reach out the most to.
I’ve only been on substack a week, whereas, some have been on here for years. I have limited time as a full-time working mom. All of my posts are free because I am fortunate to have decent income. (And to be completely honest, I would rather be gardening than on my computer right now as I am a computer programmer by trade and have plenty enough screen time). But, if you feel my purpose is a good one, to:
impart change by our lawmakers, looking deep into their consciences and reflect on the past two years, and how their creation of bills and enacting of laws have negatively impacted, us, their constituents, their families, their friends, please share:
RightingTheWrongs.org
to your network of people, in your newsletter, and on other newsletters.
It is April with the next flu season only four to five months away. We can talk amongst ourselves all we want, but the most change will occur by continuing to shine “the light” on those who still don’t see the truth, and by contacting those members of Congress most likely to be motivated to right wrongs. I will be working on suggesting talking points with Congress members in future posts; however, sharing on a personal account: 1) how the PREP Act (2005 and 2020) and 21st Century Cures Act have harmed us and 2) how the proposed Cures 2.0 Act needs to be revised and/or voted down, will have the most important impact.
Thank you.
