It’s one thing to hear that ACIP approved the covid shots for the childhood vaccine schedule, but another thing to have witnessed it.
I started writing this post a few days ago, but this event along with reading a handful of other substacks and this morning's news ranging from the British Parliament to PayPal to watching fast-motion video of drops of vax, it’s time to publish it.
My observations and thoughts over the past three years culminating to this very point:
They don't care what we think
They don't care who they hurt
They will try what they can
And hide what they can
For as long as they can
To try to get away with it all
I don't say this to get you down or to stop you from trying to turn this ship around. I’m saying this as a born-optimist struggling to be a realist.
We still need to share important information with others, we still need to research and make an informed vote (i.e. write all the names down on paper well ahead of time and decide on your plan to vote in person even if constrained by fuel/electricity), but at the same time, we also need to take care of ourselves.
Seek Balance.
I cannot predict the future, but my best advice is:
Have a Plan B … and C (and D), if you can.
There is no going back to normal any time soon, only the new normal that you make for yourself given the situation.
Be discerning.
Be resourceful.
Be agile.
And always hold on to
Love ~ hope ~ faith
A culmination of observations and thoughts
Good post. It kind of feels like a watershed moment today. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Love hope faith joy.
